Not great, not horrible...?

This... I'm hoping this isn't what the DX9 Powermaster Prime/Ginrai is going to be like... Lacking much paint at all (a Magic Square issue across the board when not a version they reissue later that's slathered in paint), a pain in the exhaust port transformation, and limited articulation in odd areas leaves this guy just feeling kinda "meh". Robot mode looks great, and let's face it that's where the vast majority of them will likely stay. However his ankle rocker is incredibly limited, and due to a lack of a proper heel spur he's liable to fall backwards despite not being excessively back heavy. You *can* remedy this a bit by playing with the outside edge of his foot and dropping it down a bit, but it's a bandage on a pretty gnarly wound at best. And while he's got great elbow range, the second you put his guns into his hands that goes flying out the window as they limit the articulation to like 45* at best. Car mode... He's just far too stubby to look right, which could easily be due to the size restraints of being a legend scale figure but still... Again though, as I said in my Doubledealer review: Where else are you going to get a Chromedome in Legends? It's one of those situations where you have to ask yourself how much you want the character represented in your collection.

The quality level is very high. I examined the plastic of the hot rod figure. And the plastic quality is very durable. Dx9 makes the best colors and designs of G1 figures. I think they are masterpiece figures.

You should experience the color design and plastic quality of the DX9 figures. They are good figures in everything. The hot rod figure and hot rodimus are my favorite figures as a design.
